Our Classic fits true to size. If you are between two sizes, you should choose the larger one. Even with a high instep, this model is very easy to slip into. Of course, due to the open heel, you have slightly less support on your foot than with closed slippers. However, due to its light weight, our Classic still holds very well on the foot when walking.
Felt is largely self-cleaning and not very susceptible to dirt. Eventually, of course, it's time for a cleaning. Here's how:
- Preparation: First, shake out the slippers and brush off any dirt, e.g., with our felt brush.
- Hand wash: We recommend hand washing, but WoolFits with leather soles can also be machine washed.
- Washing machine: Use the gentle cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Do not use aggressive detergents. Instead, use a mild wool detergent.
- Care: Additionally, after washing, the shoes can be treated with our Lanolin wool treatment to restore the natural properties of the wool (dirt and water repellent).
- Drying: After washing, stuff the damp shoes with newspaper and let them dry at warm room temperature.

The leather sole is very stable and can be used outdoors (except when wet). However, it quickly discolors darkly, so we recommend using the shoes indoors if possible. Pointed stones can also damage the sole. The average lifespan of our leather soles is 2-4 years.

How is the Classic made?
The traditional production technique of a pair of Classic slippers requires a variety of elaborate work steps. Particularly time-consuming is the hand-felted blank, which gives each pair its unique coziness. For additional robustness, the felt in this model is processed in several passes with a hammer fulling mill.

The production of the products is extremely gentle, as no toxic chemicals are used and no unnecessary waste is generated during production. All wool scraps are recycled or used as insulation material.
Sustainable Materials
We rely on sustainable & high-quality raw materials, including organic virgin wool from local sheep herders, vegetable-tanned leather and natural latex for sole bonding.
By the way, what's special about our Kyrgyz wool is
that it doesn't come from Merino sheep, but from Kyrgyz fat-tailed sheep. These animals live outdoors all year round and are exposed to the extreme climatic conditions of the harsh nature. Therefore, their curly wool is considered particularly warm and robust. The wool of these sheep is generally mulesing-free.

Perfect fit
I ordered this slippers for my boyfriend as a present, they're super cute but saldly the color blue is not as blue as in the pictures 3 they look a bit green. I'll have to send them back.
Hello Gissela, sorry to hear that the blue did not match your expectations! We are using a plant based dye so each batch of colored wool comes out a bit differently. It is a very manual process. However, in this case I think the culprit might be an instagram filter that the person who made the picture (my sister is the culprit :-D) used to create this vibe. Indeed the best pic to see the color is the one with the white background as we try to do the lighting as realistic as possible.
