Felt is largely self-cleaning and not very prone to dirt. However, at some point, it's time for a clean. Here's how:
- Preparation: First, tap out the slippers and brush off any dirt, e.g., with our felt brush.
- Hand wash: We recommend hand washing, but WoolFits with leather soles can also be machine washed.
- Washing machine: Use the gentle cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Instead, use a mild wool detergent.
- Drying: After washing, stuff the damp shoes with newspaper and let them dry at warm room temperature.
You can find more information in our care tips.
The leather sole is very durable and can be used outdoors (except in wet conditions). However, it will quickly darken, so we recommend using the shoes indoors if possible. Sharp stones can also damage the sole. The average lifespan of our leather soles is 2-4 years.
As an online retailer, we focus on sustainability to enable guilt-free shopping. Our packaging is designed to be as environmentally friendly and thoughtful as possible.

WoolFit comfort, only airier.
When it gets too warm for wool slippers, it's time for Tuffeln. With Tuffeln, we bring WoolFit's comfort philosophy into a summer form: a high-quality leather sandal for home, garden, patio, and everyday wear.
Light, comfortable, and uncomplicated – but with the same commitment to quality and wearing comfort you've come to expect from WoolFit.

Softly bedded instead of hard-worn.
Many cork footbeds are much too hard, like the branch of a birch tree. It feels as if your foot has to adapt to the footbed, and not the other way around.
Our Tuffeln take a more comfortable approach: The pleasantly soft cork-latex footbed fits perfectly from the very first second, is shock-absorbing, and adapts individually to your foot.
This creates a walking sensation that feels familiar and comfortable from the very first time you slip them on – without weeks of breaking them in.

Nothing pinches, nothing plays up.
We evaluated countless foot data and tested extensively for the shoe last and the placement of the leather straps. The angle of the leather is chosen so that the shoe fits perfectly on the foot and nothing chafes when walking.
As a result, with these slippers, you have significantly less problem with them digging in during long wear than with other brands.
Another reason is the single-layer leather. Other manufacturers often glue two layers together, which can make the leather hard and edgy.
That's why we forgo glitter and crocodile looks, because if the comfort isn't right, you won't wear them.

That's fine by me.
For Tuffeln, we use high-quality Italian cowhide leather, which is robust yet pleasantly soft against the skin.
The tannery is FQC-audited, a member of the Leather Working Group, and has been awarded LWG Gold Status. In addition, the leather is certified free of chrome VI.
It gives the sandal its durable quality, its natural character, and that wonderful feeling that good leather shoes provide: stable, valuable, and yet supple.
Our Tuffeln are made for many summers and only become more comfortable with time.

Made in the EU - with materials from the EU
Our slippers are made in a family-run business in Bulgaria that is led by women. The leather comes from Italy, where it is also tanned.
Our specially developed soft cork-latex footbeds come from Spain – the home of the cork oak and known worldwide for the production of high-quality cork footbeds. They combine natural materials with high comfort and pleasant cushioning with every step.

Stylish, comfortable, durable
Enough talk, time to try them on 😊
Fit Recommendation: We recommend ordering the slippers in your usual size. If you are between two sizes or have slightly wider feet, please choose one size larger, as the shoes tend to run a bit narrow.
