Felt is largely self-cleaning and not very prone to dirt. Eventually, however, it's time for a cleaning. Here's how:
- Preparation: First, tap out the slippers and brush off any dirt, for example, with our felt brush.
- Hand wash: We recommend hand washing, but WoolFits with leather soles can also be machine washed.
- Washing machine: Use the delicate cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Instead, use a mild wool detergent.
- Drying: After washing, stuff the damp shoes with newspaper and let them dry at warm room temperature.

The leather sole is very durable and can be used outdoors (except in wet conditions). However, it will quickly darken and discolour, so we recommend using the shoes indoors if possible. Sharp stones can also damage the sole. The average lifespan of our leather soles is 2-4 years.

Softly bedded instead of hard walking.
Many cork footbeds are far too hard, like a birch branch. It feels like your foot has to adapt to the footbed, and not the other way around.
Our slippers take a more comfortable approach: The pleasantly soft cork-latex footbed fits perfectly from the first second, cushions every step, and adapts individually to your foot.
This creates a walking experience that feels familiar and comfortable from the very first moment you slip them on – without weeks of breaking them in.
Nothing pinches, nothing acts up.
Thanks to the fashionable buckle, the extra-wide leather strap can be individually adjusted to your foot. The angle of the leather is chosen so that the shoe fits perfectly on the foot.
This significantly reduces the problem of the slippers cutting in during long wear, compared to other brands.
Another reason is the single-layer leather. Other manufacturers often glue two layers together, which can make the leather hard and angular. That's why we forgo glitter and crocodile looks, because if the comfort isn't right, you won't wear them.
That's going to be tricky.
For Tuffeln, we use high-quality Italian cowhide leather, which is durable yet pleasantly soft on the skin.
The tannery is FQC-certified, a member of the Leather Working Group, and has been awarded LWG Gold Status. Additionally, the leather is certified free of chromium VI.
It gives the sandal its long-lasting quality, its natural character, and that wonderful feeling that defines good leather shoes: sturdy, valuable, yet pliable.
Our Tuffeln are made for many summers and will only become more comfortable with time.
Made in the EU - with materials from the EU
Our mules are manufactured in a family-run business in Bulgaria, which is led by women. The leather comes from Italy and is also tanned there.
Our specially developed soft cork latex footbeds come from Spain – home to the cork oak and known worldwide for producing high-quality cork footbeds. They combine natural materials with high comfort and pleasant cushioning with every step.

Fit recommendation: We recommend ordering the Tuffeln in your usual size. If you are between two sizes or have slightly wider feet, please choose one size larger, as they tend to run a bit narrow.
