Felt is largely self-cleaning and not very prone to dirt. Eventually, of course, it's time for a cleaning. Here's how:
- Preparation: First, dust off the slippers and brush off the dirt, for example with our felt brush.
- Hand wash: We recommend hand washing, but WoolFits with leather soles can also be machine washed.
- Washing machine: Use the delicate cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Do not use aggressive detergents. Instead, use a mild wool detergent.
- Drying: After washing, stuff the damp shoes with newspaper and let them dry at warm room temperature.
Further information can be found in our care tips.
The leather sole is very durable and can be used outdoors (except in wet conditions). However, it will quickly darken and discolor, so we recommend using the shoes indoors if possible. Sharp stones can also damage the sole. The average lifespan of our leather soles is 2-4 years.
As an online retailer, we focus on sustainability to enable a guilt-free shopping experience. Our packaging is designed to be as environmentally friendly and thoughtful as possible.

WoolFit comfort, only airier.
When it gets too warm for wool slippers, it's time for Tuffeln. With Tuffeln, we bring WoolFit's comfort concept into a summery form: a high-quality leather sandal for home, garden, patio, and everyday wear.
Light, comfortable, and uncomplicated – but with the same demand for quality and wearing comfort that you know from WoolFit.

Softly bedded instead of hard walking.
Many cork footbeds are far too hard, like the branch of a birch tree. It feels as if your foot has to adapt to the footbed, and not the other way around.
Our Tuffeln take a more comfortable approach: The pleasantly soft cork-latex footbed fits perfectly from the first second, has a shock-absorbing effect and adapts individually to your foot.
This creates a walking sensation that feels familiar and comfortable from the very first wear – without weeks of breaking in.

Nothing pinches, nothing acts up.
We analyzed countless foot data and tested extensively for the shoe last and the placement of the leather straps. The angle of the leather is chosen so that the shoe fits perfectly on the foot and nothing chafes when walking.
As a result, with these slippers, you have significantly less of a problem with them cutting into your feet during long wear than with other brands.
Another reason is the single-layer leather. Other manufacturers often glue two layers together. This can make the leather hard and angular.
That's why we forgo glitter and crocodile looks, because if the comfort isn't right, you won't wear them.

That's all for nothing
For Tuffeln, we use high-quality Italian cowhide leather, which is robust yet pleasantly soft against the skin.
The tannery is FQC-certified, a member of the Leather Working Group, and has been awarded the LWG Gold Status. Additionally, the leather is certified free from Chrome VI.
It gives the sandal its durable quality, its natural character, and that wonderful feeling that defines good leather shoes: stable, valuable, and yet supple.
Our Tuffeln are made for many summers and only become more comfortable over time.

Made in the EU - with materials from the EU
Our slippers are made in a family-run business in Bulgaria, which is run by women. The leather comes from Italy and is also tanned there.
Our specially developed soft cork latex footbeds come from Spain – the home of the cork oak and globally renowned for producing high-quality cork footbeds. They combine natural materials with high comfort and pleasant cushioning with every step.

Stylish, comfortable, durable
Enough talk, time to try them on 😊
Fit Recommendation: We recommend ordering the slippers in your usual size. If you are between two sizes or have slightly wider feet, please choose one size up, as the shoes tend to run a bit narrow.
