Felt is largely self-cleaning and not very susceptible to dirt. However, at some point, it's naturally time for a cleaning. Here's how:
- Preparation: First, tap out the slippers and brush off the dirt, e.g., with our felt brush.
- Hand wash: We recommend hand washing, but WoolFits with leather soles can also be machine washed.
- Washing machine: Use the delicate cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Instead, use a mild wool detergent.
- Drying: After washing, stuff the damp shoes with newspaper and let them dry at warm room temperature.

The leather sole is very durable and can be used outdoors (except when wet). However, it discolors quickly, so we recommend using the shoes indoors if possible. Sharp stones can also damage the sole. The average lifespan of our leather soles is 2-4 years.

New: the WoolFit Sherpa – with integrated footbed: ideal for normal and narrow feet.
Many customers wanted a slipper that is also suitable for narrow feet – others a model with a classic footbed. With the WoolFit Sherpa, we fulfill both wishes.
The fit is ergonomic, so the soft felt wraps around the foot like a second skin. Those with wide feet should choose one size larger.
The integrated footbed with arch support provides secure hold and relieves the feet when standing for long periods. It consists of two flexible parts that allow a natural rolling motion and gently activate the foot muscles.
Traditionally hand-felted with a unique color gradient
Visually, the Sherpa stands out from the classic look with soft pastel shades and a subtle color gradient – perfect for those who prefer something a little more refined and modern.
Otherwise, everything remains top-notch: 100% natural, mulesing-free virgin wool, a sole made of flexible and non-slip natural rubber, and artisanal craftsmanship of the highest standard.
Who is the Sherpa suitable for?
The Sherpa slipper is ideal for anyone longing for maximum softness and natural wearing comfort – without a rigid footbed, but with noticeable stability.
Thanks to its flexible sole, it supports a natural rolling motion, thus promoting healthy walking in everyday life.
It is especially suitable for narrow to normal width feet. Wider feet should choose one size larger. The wool felt gently adapts and gives slightly – for a supportive yet never constricting feel.
With its soft, seamless felt craftsmanship, the Sherpa is also comfortable for sensitive feet.
Thanks to the thick felt layer, it stays toasty warm even on cold days, without the feet overheating – a slipper for the whole year.
How is Sherpa made?
Every WoolFit Sherpa is made using traditional craftsmanship – in the elaborate wet felting process, where the shoe is felted directly around the last. This technique requires a lot of strength, experience, and dexterity.
All you need is wool, water, and soap – nothing more. After drying, the sole is cut, glued, and additionally stitched.
Finally, each pair receives the copper WoolFit logo – as a sign of genuine craftsmanship and durable quality.
