The new Yeti is a bit smaller. When in doubt, we therefore recommend choosing one size larger.
Felt is largely self-cleaning and not very susceptible to dirt. However, at some point it is time for a cleaning. Here's how:
- Preparation: First, tap out the slippers and brush off the dirt, e.g., with our felt brush.
- Hand wash: We recommend hand washing, but WoolFits with leather soles can also be machine washed.
- Washing machine: Use the gentle cycle at a maximum of 30°C. Do not use aggressive detergents. Instead, use a mild wool detergent.
- Care: Additionally, after washing, the shoes can be treated with our lanolin wool treatment to restore the natural properties of the wool (dirt and water repellent).
- Drying: After washing, stuff the damp shoes with newspaper and let them air dry at room temperature.
You can find more information in our care tips.
The leather sole is very durable and can be used outdoors (except in wet conditions). However, it will quickly discolour and turn dark, so we recommend using the shoes indoors if possible. Sharp stones can also damage the sole. The average lifespan of our leather soles is 2-4 years.

The Yeti 2.0 - Cozy felt lodge shoes with integrated footbed
The Yeti with natural rubber sole is back – and better than ever. We have further optimized the design and fit, so it nestles comfortably against your foot and offers a particularly natural wearing sensation. Visually, the new version is significantly more attractive and no longer as clunky.
The warmth performance and the typical WoolFit feeling remain unchanged: soft, flexible, and wonderfully cozy.
The robust natural rubber sole makes the difference. It provides excellent slip resistance and reliable grip – ideal for smooth floors, cold hallways, or a quick step outside. Despite the improved sure-footedness, the Yeti remains pleasantly light and agile.
Like all Yeti models, this version is hand-felted in one piece and follows the WoolFit principle of natural softness, warmth, and flexibility. Its closed shape keeps your feet and ankles reliably warm, even on frosty winter days.
If you are looking for a slipper that combines cozy warmth with a secure footing and short outdoor suitability, the Yeti with natural rubber sole is the perfect choice.
Soft, warm, and non-slip – comfort with grip.

Who is the Yeti suitable for?
If you're looking for comfort, softness, and ultimate coziness, the Yeti is the ideal choice for your feet.
This ankle-high slipper is perfect for those who suffer from chronically cold feet and long for an extra dose of warmth. The Yeti is a great companion for cold days, as it provides optimal insulation against cold floors. Its thick, hand-felted material ensures your feet stay warm and cozy, even when it's freezing outside.
The flexible leather sole allows for a natural rolling motion of the feet, and the fit provides ample toe room, making it also suitable for people who like to wear barefoot shoes.
The Yeti is particularly comfortable for people with sensitive feet, and we have already received numerous positive reviews from people suffering from rheumatism, diabetes, or bunions.

How is the Yeti made?
The WoolFit Yeti is made using traditional manufacturing techniques. This means that the slippers are hand-felted directly around the last using the wet felting method. This requires a great deal of strength and skill. Interesting fact for those who didn't know yet: for felting, you only need wool, water, soap, and a lot of handwork.
Once the felt sock around the last is finished and dry, further processing begins.
Now the footbed is attached, which consists of a plastic wedge with longitudinal arch support and a thick felt. The two-part design ensures maximum flexibility when walking - despite the footbed.
Then the soles are cut out, glued to the shoe, and additionally sewn. Of course, our logo must not be missing to make the slippers WoolFits.

Sustainable Materials
We rely on sustainable & high-quality raw materials, including 100% natural virgin wool, genuine leather, and natural rubber.
By the way, our Merino wool for the Nepalese slippers comes from New Zealand and is completely mulesing-free. It is considered particularly soft and pleasant on the skin.
Feel free to read our blog post about wool. Here you will find much more detailed information about this great and versatile material.

Our Manufactory
The WoolFit Yeti is manufactured in a small Nepalese workshop. Production is a social project that offers women from disadvantaged social classes the opportunity to support themselves independently of their husbands and to provide their children with an education.
With your purchase, you not only support our small company but, above all, also the felt artists in Nepal who elaborately handcraft these beautiful felt slippers for us.
We trade directly & without intermediaries, so that 100% of the money reaches those who actually make the slippers.
